The Revenue Department is imposing taxes on Youtube creators, e-commerce sellers, and social media influencers

Revenue Dept. to tax Youtubers, online vendors and influencers. All must comply with new tax regulations.


The Revenue Department of Thailand has announced that Youtubers, social media influencers and online vendors will be taxed on their advertising revenue, sales of merchandise or donations. The department will use technology to make it easy for these individuals to pay taxes, and will provide relief to businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. For the 2023 fiscal year, the Revenue Department has set a target to collect up to 2.2 trillion baht in taxes, with collection in the first four months of the year already exceeding the target.
