Thailand’s Tourism Authority and Fliggy, an Alibaba Group subsidiary, signed an LOI to enhance their partnership in promoting Thailand’s tourism and improving Chinese tourists’ travel experiences.

TAT and Fliggy Sign LOI to Enhance Cooperation

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Fliggy, a leading online travel platform and subsidiary of Alibaba Group, signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to strengthen their partnership. This aims to enhance cooperation in promoting Thailand’s tourism and improving Chinese tourists’ travel experiences in Thailand. The LOI was signed by Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, and Mr. Tyrion Tong, Fliggy Vice President.

Collaboration to Develop Emerging Thai Destinations

The LOI formalizes the TAT-Fliggy partnership, further enhancing cooperation in several areas. Both parties will collaborate on developing and promoting emerging Thai destinations, dubbed ‘Potential Hidden Gems.’ Mr. Zhuoran Zhuang, Fliggy CEO, said the collaboration would bring diverse and high-quality travel options to Thailand and strengthen the confidence of local businesses and the tourism industry.

Strategic Collaboration for Better Chinese Tourist Experience

The partnership will see a strategic collaboration on promotional content and campaigns specifically for Chinese tourists, particularly during special events like “Double 11”, the “Golden Week,” and “Chinese New Year.” Additionally, a 24/7 Chinese hotline customer service will be set up to ensure tourists’ safety and create a better experience at any destination across Thailand. This collaboration aims to improve Chinese tourists’ quality travel experiences in Thailand.
