Thai Water Expo 2019 features water technologies and innovations

 

BANGKOK, 7 June 2019 (NNT) – Thailand is currently holding a number of international conferences and events showcasing technological advances. One of them is the Thai Water Expo 2019, an international exhibition and conference on water and wastewater management.

 

The Thai Water Expo 2019 is taking place from June 6 to 8 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bang Na, Bangkok. The event features technologies and solutions from 35 countries worldwide, and has seven international pavilions. Visitors can check out the latest water management technologies, such as wastewater management technology, recycling technology, clean water management and wastewater treatment, management of the disposal of hazardous materials without the use of chemicals, waste-to-energy (WtE) technology, the nitrification process, nitrogen removal in a biological process, and much more. The event provides answers to water and wastewater management to professionals in the industrial sector, as well as households in Thailand and the ASEAN region.

 

At the Thai Water Expo 2019, the Permanent Secretary for Natural Resources and the Environment, Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, gave a speech on Smart Water Managment. He said Thailand and ASEAN are moving towards new industrial development and future industries, and it is necessary for them to understand water and wastewater management. Currently, Thailand is implementing the 20-year water management master plan, from 2018 to 2037. The master plan consists of six areas of water resource development, which cover management of water for consumption and general use, water security in the agricultural sector, flood management, water quality management and water resource preservation, prevention and mitigation of soil erosion in watershed areas, and a water information database development.
