BANGKOK, 31 May 2019 (NNT) – Thailand is entering the digital age. People widely use the Internet so cyber security is an important issue. The Electronic Transaction Development Agency (ETDA) wants Thai people to have confidence in using digital technology and online transactions, therefore it will organize Thailand Cyber Security 2019 to allow Thai people to safely deal and adjust themselves with the digital age.
This event will be organized under the concept of cybersecurity digital transformation to allow Thai people to safely deal and adjust themselves with the digital age.
There will be more than 50 experts from international cyber security companies and organizations who will provide knowledge of many patterns of digital threats through seminars under more than 20 topics.
This will allow personnel of Thai agencies to adjust their way of thinking and place importance on prevention of possible threats. The event will also feature cyber security business negotiations. It will be held from June 19-20, 2019, at Centara Grand Hotel, Central Ladprao.
Mrs. Surangkhana Wayupharp, ETDA Director, said last year ETDA had received a total of 2,520 complaints about cyber threats. The top three threats include hacking into the information system, frauds and successful system invasion. In the future, if the number of databases on users in the digital system has increased, the number of threats will increase as well. Therefore, Thailand needs to accelerate building cyber security personnel to keep up with the growth of usage.
