The Ministry of Commerce has prepared to host an intellectual property event titled IP Fair 2019, focusing on academic knowledge, showcasing innovations that have found commercial use, and pushing Thai operators to seek value from intellectual property.
The theme of this year’s IP Fair is “Expanding on Ideas” and is to serve as a stage for intellectual properties that have been put to market. Products will range from food and beverage to health and beauty, alternative energy, fashion, pets and digital software.
The Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property, Tossapol Tungsubut, noted that this year’s event will be structured to facilitate full scale seminars for the exchange of ideas, bringing together experts that can assess the commercial application of IP, build up businesses, aid in online competition, advise on licensing in the 4.0 era and the branding of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
An important area of the fair will be on advising those who wish to register their IP. The zone was setup to encourage the entering of IP into the system.
The fair runs from today (May 30) to tomorrow (May 31) at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao in Bangkok.
