Airports of Thailand (AOT) has announced plans to expand Don Mueang International Airport’s low-cost terminal to increase passenger capacity, with a budget of 36.8 billion baht. The project is set to be completed by 2029 and will involve the construction of 12 aircraft parking stands and 11 jet bridges, resulting in an increase in the airport’s handling capacity from 30 million to 40 million passengers per year. AOT operates six international airports in Thailand, including Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, and Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai.
