On 23 March 2023, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) collaborated with Kuaishou Technology to livestream a series called “Travel Adventures Thailand Episode” using HTML tags in locations such as Phuket, Krabi, and Phang-nga, from 15-24 March. Through this partnership, TAT and Kuaishou facilitated travel for 20 Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and approximately 50 crew members from China in order to promote various high-quality tourism products and services.

This exclusive trip aimed to cater to different Chinese travel segments, such as hyper millennials, families, workation, and silver luxury, showcasing a diverse array of travel experiences offered in Southern Thailand, including local food and culture as well as community tourism.

The livestreaming event is expected to reach 50 million users and encourage more Chinese travellers to visit Phuket, Krabi, and Phang-nga due to the convenience of direct flights from Beijing and other Chinese cities. Kuaishou, a Beijing-based short video-sharing mobile app, has an impressive following, with 363 million users per day and 626 million users per month.
