Thailand’s Tourism Authority has launched an exciting campaign called "7 Months 7 Wonders" to showcase the country’s vibrant summer festivals. This initiative highlights seven unique celebrations across different regions, providing visitors with authentic cultural experiences from April to October.
The campaign features iconic events like Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year water festival, and the colorful Phi Ta Khon Ghost Festival. Each monthly celebration offers distinct experiences, from traditional music and dance performances to local culinary delights and religious ceremonies, giving tourists compelling reasons to explore Thailand throughout the summer season.
From April to October, Thailand comes alive with vibrant celebrations under the ‘7 Months 7 Wonders’ campaign. April kicks off with the famous Songkran Festival, where locals and tourists engage in nationwide water fights to celebrate Thai New Year. May features the colorful Bun Bang Fai Rocket Festival in the northeast, where homemade rockets soar into the sky to encourage rainfall.
June brings the Phi Ta Khon Festival, known for its ghostly masks and spiritual ceremonies in Dan Sai, Loei Province. July celebrates the start of Buddhist Lent with the Candle Festival in Ubon Ratchathani, showcasing intricate wax carvings. August hosts the Fruit Festival in Chanthaburi, offering exotic tropical delights.
September features the Long Boat Racing Festival across riverside communities, while October concludes with the mesmerizing Naga Fireball Festival along the Mekong River, where mysterious glowing orbs rise from the water.
