Three organizations eligible to submit bids for satellite orbital slots on January 15th

3 firms can bid for satellite orbital slot packages on Jan 15th. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!

On January 15th, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) will hold a mock auction for satellite orbital slot packages. Three companies have qualified to join the bidding: Space Tech Innovation Company, the state-owned National Telecommunications Public Company, and Prom Technical Services Company. A Sequential Ascending Clock Auction will be used, with participants bidding in every 20 minute round and the bid prices increasing by 5% of the minimum bid price. The winner will be the one who offers the highest price in the final round. AM Thanapant Raicharoen of the NBTC has dismissed the suggestion to scrap the auction and award the rights to National Telecommunications, citing Section 60 of the Constitution which requires the state to protect the rights of access to satellite orbit frequencies for the benefit of the country and the people. The NBTC has the public interest in holding the auction as its top priority.
