Russia won the 2025 SAT Men’s Futsal Championship, defeating Kuwait 10-1 in the finals, while Thailand finished third after losing 6-1 to Iran in their last match.
KORAT (12 April 2025) – Russia triumphed in the SAT Men’s Futsal Championship 2025, while host Thailand secured third place in Nakhon Ratchasima. The Russian team, having won against Iran and Thailand earlier, only needed a single-goal victory over Kuwait to clinch the title.
In a decisive final match, Russia dominated Kuwait with an overwhelming score of 10-1. Meanwhile, Thailand’s hopes for a second-place finish were dashed following a 6-1 defeat to Iran, despite initially taking the lead through Sarawut Phalapruek.
Iran quickly equalized, and their offense proved relentless, scoring five consecutive goals. Thailand managed to net a goal late in the match, but Amirhossein Golami sealed Iran’s victory with the sixth goal just before time expired.
