After a decade in Thailand, I discovered new delights during a weekend stay at Loylum Eco Villa, a tranquil floating resort in Kanchanaburi, perfect for families seeking relaxation and nature.
After nearly a decade in Thailand, I’m still amazed by its beauty, especially during a recent trip with my family. Standing atop a hill overlooking Srinakarin Lake in Kanchanaburi province, I was filled with the same wonder I felt on my first visit in 2011. The tranquil water, surrounded by mountains, created a picturesque scene reminiscent of Southern Thailand.
Our journey began with a train ride from Bangkok, followed by a short transfer to the Loy Lum Eco Villa. This unique floating accommodation blends bamboo and steel, featuring a comfortable bedroom for our family and several hammocks to relax in. Modern amenities like hot showers and Wi-Fi ensure a delightful stay.
We enjoyed our time kayaking and paddleboarding while also relishing the superb meals prepared by an included private chef. The serene surroundings and stunning night sky provided a perfect escape from Bangkok’s bustle, offering the tranquil retreat we didn’t know we needed.
