Finance Min invites stores to join Spend More, Get More project

BANGKOK (NNT) – Over 24,000 shops have signed up to take part in the “Spend More, Get More” economic stimulus project introduced by the government, after registration was opened on June 14 with buyers to be allowed to apply for participation from June 21.

Under Spend More, Get More, consumers will be allowed to purchase goods and services including food, beverages and spa treatments through the Pao Tung application between July 1st and September 30th, 2021, with transactions to provide them with e-Vouchers supporting further purchases. For the first 40,000 baht spent by each user, e-Vouchers worth 10 percent of money spent up to 4,000 baht will be issued, while spending between 40,001 and 60,000 baht will unlock vouchers worth 15 percent on further expenditure, up to 3,000 baht.

The privilege is capped at 60,000 baht per person and 5,000 baht’s worth of supplemental funds per day with the maximum value of e-Vouchers possible, set at 7,000 baht for the entire program. The vouchers will appear on a monthly basis in the G-Wallet and be available for use until December 31st this year – they are not redeemable as cash.

So far, 24,671 stores have signed up to take part, while the Ministry of Finance, is inviting even more stores, restaurants, Blue Flag shops, OTOP retailers and spas to take part. They can do so through three channels, via the Toong Ngern application, at Krungthai Bank booths and at the project’s website “www.ยิ่งใช้ยิ่งได้.com”. The only requirement is that the business must have registered for Value Added Tax no less than seven days prior to signing up.
