BEDO launches Line BOT

BANGKOK, 10 September 2019(NNT) – The Biodiversity-based Economy Development Office (BEDO) has launched Line Bot to help people access economic and biodiversity information via the LINE application where users can scan a QR code to access biological resource data, and ask questions of the Artificial Intelligence supported by the Asystem.
The BEDO has launched the Line Bot innovation using the LINE platform to create a tool for the presentation of information on biological resources and local wisdom on a systematic database which is easy to access. Users can search for information on the one application. This is in response to the users’ demand for a quick search to gain accurate biodiversity information.
BEDO Deputy Director Thanit Changthaworn, said today that Line Bot is linked to the Thaibiodiversity website, a biodiversity database system. It has access to more than 5,000 data records of plant species. It is open to personnel from both the public and private sectors as well as the educational sector, so that they can benefit from the database on biological resources and develop products from popular species in their local area to improve the local economy. Users can just scan the QR code and add it to the application Line only.
All menus of Line Bot are divided into six parts such as biological resources which contains a list of biological resources such as plants, animals and microbes, a local wisdom menu, products of the neighborhood with their location on the map and a display of the top five products in the local area, along with a list of the best products in the region with a display of outstanding items in each area.
